The 2nd Annual Draw-a-thon is a campus and community inclusive event that celebrates and promotes drawing, creativity, spontaneity, and artistic collaboration. 2010 enjoyed its inaugural year with a new partnership between the Turchin Center and the Department of Art. Students, professors, and local artists (of all levels and ages) will be invited to gather at the Turchin Center to draw from life models during a two-day event with the goal of creating a casual, fun atmosphere that is open to the curious novice, the devoted expert, and every level in between. This two-day event will include many special model sessions that will be “all audience friendly”, a Drawing Round About on and a Portrait Drawing Session with a celebrity special guest.
